Plus it would double nicely as a cleaver for this hard parmigiano...
Well, if that 8/8 size really sucks for you, just let me know. I'll gladly take it off your hands...

It's looking good. I am going to try my Livi acquisition out tomorrow. They certainly look and feel Italian. A lot of flair, not clinical and perfect but full of character. Enjoy!

Mine came too! Arrived at noon with the post.

This is a monster! I'm gonna approach with caution. Normally I would have had Lynn hone this beast, but I had good luck with a rather large Wacker.

So many thanks to Lynn and Don who made this possible for us lucky guys.

before you go a honing... i'll wager Lynn has already taken care of that!
Livi seem to always be prehoned i think it is the water and air in Medina that does it!

mine came in today as well http://straightrazorpalace.com/gener...tml#post233050

and Gugi, if the blade is too much for you just ship it to me... i have a couple 4/8 to swap for it... that way you will be able to maintain the size aspect at home.

Well, that looks lovely Gugi. Congratulations! It's been roughly 4 1/2 hours since your first post - have you tried it yet? Bet it shaves as good as it looks.

Mine came today as well. It's a big, beautiful, big razor, that's for sure.

If curious, see my additional comments in the General section in the Maestro Livi Group Buy thread.

There is joy in Mudville today, the mighty Maestro hit a grand slam.

lots of people looking to help me out - what a great community

no, Jimbo, haven't tried it yet, but I've been checking my mug in the mirror every so often to see if it's time yet looks like it'll be an evening shave for me... few more hours... or may be the hairs are getting scared and don't even want to show up....

and it certainly looks ready to shave - not sure whether the medina or the florence wheather did it, but it seems prepared and ready.

Congrats looks like the USPS in your neighborhood works on July 4th weekends. Do tell us how it shaves. I cannot wait for mine to arrive hopefully it is here monday.

Sure looks quite different from the prototypes ...

    Enjoy it in good health.

BTW what does RWL stand for on the razor, it says "RWL" ATS 34 steel
