My Little Wedges
These days, I am really loving these little jewels. Smooth as big Sheffields while remaining nimble and maneuverable. These are all quarter hollow, from 5/8 to 11/16:
The only one not in pictured is my trusty Wapienica, which certainly holds its own among this company.
That makes six, one short of a seven day set, Any recommendations?

A couple of photos are from the former owners. I hope Aaron and Chris do not mind.

Your pictures always do your razors justice Ray.
How about your Helje MK31? I know mine hasn't fallen out of rotation since I got it.

There is a Case Temperite quarter hollow, there are some that are just stamped "Wedge," W&B made some smaller ones (my "lather wel/shave well for example), several Sheffield makers make a "Medium Hollow Grind" which are typically quarter hollows of about 5-6/8, and there's the Bowdin's Wedge. I've shaved with all of those except the Bowdin's (but I've heard lots of good things about the Bowdin's), including medium hollows from W&B, Joseph Allen, Wostenholm, Wostenholm Pipe, and they are all fantastic.

I love my Mk31's (that's why a have two of them ) and they always make the rotation. But they're full hollows.
Yeah, small Sheffields. I miss this 5/8. One of my very first razors, bought here from Jim. I sold it about a year ago in a fit of stupid.
Max had a nice Bowdin's Wedge on his website, but it looks like he is all sold out!Last edited by RayG; 04-12-2009 at 02:08 AM.

Really great collection so far. I've got my eye out for the C-MON and Satin Wedge. What one is your favorite of the bunch?
I think that I would make the 7th a nice little Bowdins wedge. Here is the one I got from Max. I really love shaving with this little guy.Last edited by dkapp; 04-12-2009 at 02:19 AM. Reason: Apparently I can't spell C-MON correctly today...

Oops
Here I am scratching my head - I knew I forgot something, lol. You jogged my memory, X.
Last but not least, here's the 7th. A Helje 22 in 5/8. The ugly duckling of the lot, but an amazing little runt.
I guess that makes the set. Hmmm, maybe for this coming week's SOTD.

I've got one of those Lather Well I'll Shave Well W&Bs and a similar size and shape Wostenholm pipe. Nice shaving razors and as you say nimble compared to their big cousins. I have a Bartmann wedge and an FWE that are killer shavers too. Some nice blades you have there. One of these days I'll run down a Satinwedge and a C-Mon wedge.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
