The razor that stands out for me is the Torrey. Is that a perfect MOP tang? Congratulations on expert antique store mining techique! I will be in hellish Yuma AZ next week, which has two excellent antique stores. I am already excited about what I might find! Thanks for sharing the great pictures.
Some of the best buys we find are in out of the way local shops. If we find them at one of these they are usually in a cigar or shoe box buried somewhere. There is a few people in the area that collect straights so some of the larger group antique stores have them regularly. We don't have anyone that calls us when they get something in, we just start going around to the different places and see what we can find. Luckily the market here has still been pretty reasonable in prices. It just takes lots of time to find this stuff. We are out just about every weekend and some places we hit midweek to catch stuff before the other weekend seekers get out

There was one more item in our jaunt this past weekend, a hone. I didn't include it in the photo because we didn't have time to do anything to it at that time. This morning before work JrJoeD and I started lapping it. I'll try to get some pics of it up this evening. What I can say is that it is about the size of the last hone we found in a flea market, has no labels but there appears to have been one on the side running it's length and while we were lapping it a brown slurry started forming. I don't think we could get that lucky all in one day, can we?

Couldn't there have been a combined hone/stropper for the wedgey blades in the right compartment?

Yea, it had us stunned for a while too. With every find we just got more and more stunned and hoped that we didn't find anything we couldn't afford but couldn't leave behind.

I'll get the pics up some time after 7 PM EDT unless someone at home reads this note and posts the pics.

What a haul of Gencos!!! I love those razors. Yes, I am green with envy, and that faint sound you hear is me eating my heart out.

Seriously, Congrats on the payoff for all your legwork.

Can you post a close-up of the Genco Jossep and the Geneva Cutlery? I'd like to get a good look at those scales. Thanks!!

Thank you. I'll try to get those pics up along with the other requests some time after 7 PM EDT.

I think the Jossep was a recent EBay snag. One of the few.

    Default Hone pics

Here is the hone that we picked up. It had a bit of a dish in the center that we are working on getting out.
