Default Look what I found at the antique store!

This has to be one of the biggest J. R. Torrey razors I ever saw. It is 15/16" Quarter Hollow (maybe Half Hollow) in surprising condition. Not bad for $10.00 IMO.

Nice grab for $10. I recently picked one up a big one from the 'bay for about the same, but mine has a hollow grind. I took it for a whirl on the hones last night and got a great shave from it. For some reason, it seemed pretty easy to hone. There's alot of good shaves left in that chopper you picked up.

Wow, Ramon. An absolute SCORE. An American Chopper. I love it.

IMO Torrey steel is probably the best razor steel out there, nice grab, I have no doubts as to its quality and performance, stand proud!

Great score! American choppers are out there! First Torry I've see that big and with that grind. Let us know how it shaves.

Aren't antique shop finds just GREAT!!

Thank you Ronnie. I'm thinking either Ramone Burl wood or Burled Buckeye.
