    You are correct. I wish I could say I've used them and gotten a killer edge on some razors...but, I'm still waiting on my DMT D8C to arrive so I can get them all flat. I spaced when I ordered them and totally forgot to pick that up at the same time!

    I have only used stone face-to-face flattening & it's worked for me for years. I'm not sure if there is a Wiki on it, but using a stone of the next grit, up or down, in a figure 8 patern on one another is what has been done for hundreds of years...yes, plural, hundreds...
