Default A surprise from SWMBO - A Georgetown Pottery G20 Scuttle

So I've been talking about this for a while, maybe a couple of years, about getting a scuttle. I've been getting a little excited with all the postings of the G20's on here and I've been showing my wife them. She just kept saying "We'll get it later on, after we come back from our trip." Our trip is in May, so I've been really gritting my teeth and holding on. I almost broke down when sleekandsmooth posted his pictures on the 24th. But my wife said, just wait and we'll get you one. I was thinking she was just trying to get me to forget about it. But she comes home today and says, "I have something for you." I open the bag and there sits a G20 in the colour I wanted!!!! I'm so happy, but so sad. I shaved this morning so I have to wait until tomorrow morning. LOL

    WOW!!

That is a gorgeous thing. You must be treatin her right.

    She did good.

I was looking at those the other day and that is the color I'd pick if I was gonna get one.

My sweety tolerates the RAD, so I'll wait a bit for a scuttle.

Sweet scuttle! My G20 will be on the UPS delivery truck tomorrow. Your color selection was my 2nd choice. Pictures of mine forthcoming, of course.

Congrats! I have a GP also. I have found that it has a deep narrow wel, but if you use a long handled brush it is great..

Finally time to post about the shave. I love this thing! I don't have real hot water, something I'm going to fix today, hopefully. Anyway, I filled it up before my shower, then emptied it and filled it again while I was setting up and stropping my razor. The first lather was warm, but not as warm as I expected. The second pass was much warmer. I think I should have ran hot water over the entire outside before I filled it up, to help warm the outside as well. The third lather was the same as the second, nice and warm. I enjoyed it immensely. Also, the bumps definitely help in the lather department as well. I'm very, very happy with this gift!!
