Kamisori Handle Wrapping
A while ago, I acquired this Nagamasa Kamisori (http://straightrazorpalace.com/show-...-kamisori.html) and it turned out to be a great find, taking a really nice edge and tamahagane to boot. The one drawback was the handle, which was a bit awkward for my big fingers. I finally ordered some black waxed cotton hobby thread from Ebay and wrapped the handle, which I think turned out rather nicely! I also took out the dremel and ground down the end of the handle, which was rough and had a protruding piece.
Here are some photos.
A quick before:
After
Of course, the little flaw in the string showed up right near the end of the wrapping, so it stayed on
I'm thinking about rubbing a bit of beeswax on the handle, then melting it in with the heat gun.

Thanked: 13245Nicely done,, I don't know why but I just can't seem to get cord or the Bamboo stuff to work right, I think I am going to copy Charlie's idea and use a wire...

If you want some of this cord, I had to buy like 20m and I doubt even SWMBO Jr. can make that many necklaces.
