    Oh, you can tell it is junk right from the get go by just looking at the rough grind on the edge.

    It's funny when people know that you collect and use straights, they like to bring you these "nice finds" and try to get you to buy them.

    I have to be pretty specific now when people ask me if they run across some do they want me have them pick them up. You then have to go into a 10 minute lesson on sheffieds, solingens and US made razors, then onto blade wear and such.

    I just couldn't let this old fella think he wasn't helping me out, and for 10 bucks with the Colt name on I figured what the heck. Those that know me, know I wouldn't normally go after these types. After collecting and restoring razors to this point, I think I know enough not to fall for poor quality.

    You collect (Stuff) for one of two resons, 1) You like something, "my wife and her fogs for instants" and 2) For is value, will i or can i make some money off the resale. Sounds like you got the first one covered. Enjoy.
