I don't think asking what is going on when it has been over a month is "premature". Did they quote you a lead time on getting it back to you when you sent if off? IMHO 5 weeks is a little long if they aren't one of the well-known (busy) honers. I'm just thinking even if it took 1 week to get to them, seriously, 4 weeks and it's still not done and in the mail? I'd be a little upset. It was just honing right? Not like a complete restoration or something?
Of course, communicate, and the suggestions for patience are good. But I'd also be a little upset if it were me - thats all.State v. Durham, 323 N.W. 2d 243, 245 (Iowa 1982) (holding that a straight razor is per se a "dangerous weapon").
