Default Tape threads.....No this is not a tape vs No Tape discussion.

So.....we've all been there when we are new, right? Asking about tape or no tape or the geometry issues that may or may not happen when using tape, all to be told search for it in the search bar. Or we give a response that is a link to another thread. I get it. Most, if not all, of the veterans on this site are sick of tape threads. Not because the person asking it or that we are unwilling to answer or help, its just that there is a butt load of them and it feels like we're saying the same thing over and over again.

So here is my proposal. We make tape threads their own thread category. All tape threads compiled under one list. If some one has a question about taping, boom, it is now in an easy to find location. No needing to use the search bar or any of the sort. No clogging of the honing section with tape threads.

    What do you guys think?

Your bringing this up again ? Only, a thread about tape threads ? You should see the thread about guys who talk about tape threads first :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I'm finishing a paddle/bench strop PDF now,,,, if the powers decide, then I can compile the best of the tape/no tape information into a PDF in the library,,,, it's up to the Admin. as to if that is the way to handle it or leave it as it is,,,

I was not aware there was that many people with the same idea. I have never seen another post suggesting this. I am going to file a petition to congress then for this matter. I expect I will get some signatures.

Right after they make a forum for HHT 1-infinity ......... they might consider a forum for tape .........
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

But we have a multitude of tape threads already. Still, the question keeps being discussed. Having a 'tape thread' subforum won't change a thing, IMO.

There is a better solution to this, so you'll just have to wait on the mentors to work it out.

The problem really is not whether this information is readily available, but the fact that so few seem willing to do the research to find it before asking the inevitable questions.

I propose a FAQAOAOA . Frequently asked questions asked over and over again. Maybe just have the top ten in there. the question is, who would read it ?

it's so much easier to ask a question than to see if the questions already been asked and read through all the answers.JMO
