    According to my buddie's admonition, "If you can't be satisfied with what you have, you'll never be satisfied with what you get," you're a much happier individual than those who suffer from ADs. Because my old boss, Robert Reilly's grandmother said, "He who buys what he does not need, will someday need what he cannot buy."

    Depression era thought, not the usual philosophy espoused since the advent of the baby boomers, but true nonetheless.

    All of my hanging strops (Whipped Dog Rich Man (now with Brother) and two SRD Bridle (one regular and one long that came unused with an also unused Robert Williams in the BIN find of the year last year)) have webbing material.

    What do you like about the wool over the linen?

    Sorry engine, just to expand on my last or so post, I have never looked at the official acronyms list, or if I did it was once about a year ago, I have always taken SAD to be soap AD unless the context makes it make more sense for it to be strop AD. So apologies for jumping on you earlier. However I still haven't revisited the acronyms list but I will take you on your word
    sorry tangented there, i have just realized I have come up with a new acronym for soaps and creams in general, and not strops as per the discussion at hand.
    As I don't really suffer from any AD's in the razor/shaving world I probably should have just stayed out of it . Unless you go with the "more than one is an AD" line of reasoning of course. No problem Ed!

    Worried about these acronyms, they seem to rule the world, it's everywhere!

    SAD=Strop
    SSAD = Soap
    SCAD= Scuttle
    HAD = hone
    BAD = I forget....oh yeah Brush, that's right
    GAD = Glycerin addition disorder (made that up )
    RAD = Razor
    DFS
    BBS
