Not an expert here but... If you could edit in the FS/FT area you could anywhere, right? It would make it awful hard to follow any particular thread if the name kept changing. Let alone trying to search for an old thread. Even if it could be allowed in the FS/FT section but not anywhere else, I know that I still reference some of those old threads to remember who'd work caught my eye and also to remember what razors I want to someday add to my collection. It would be a shame if I couldn't serch them out again because the title changed.

Just to clear up how the forum works:
- The person who starts a thread can edit it's title for a period of 5-min after submitting the initial post... then the title is locked.
- A person can edit the contents of their post for a period of 24-hours from the time they submit the post initially... after that editing is locked.
Honestly, do we need a solution more elegant than a convention that the person who started the thread post a message when it's SOLD, or they've BOUGHT, or they've TRADED the item listed.

I do not think that it would be a good idea to delete all of the threads with razors that have sold because the past threads can be very helpful in helping one determine the real "market value" of a particular razor. In my opinion the format is fine just the way that it is. It is easy and effective enough to post SOLD in the thread, and if someone does not understand this then they should probably not be purchasing a straight razor in the first place lol. Just my .02
