SRP member of the month

Kris, I'm sure you're well-intentioned when you propose this. However, this sort of thing can backfire onto the forum climate and generate hard feelings. I've seen it happen. Now SRP is a mature place, so chances of that happening are actually not very high. Just something to keep in mind.

Kristoffer's good intentions very much appreciated, I really think we already have enough popularity poll going on here, with the thank you button and the green dots.
I also understand, that members that have shown special merits in contributing with the forum and helping out fellow members, can be granted a moderatorship, if they choose to accept it.
Please correct me if I'm wrong with that assumption.
So it seems a bit redundant to have a "member of the month". I would find it awkward to be it. (Not that I ever expect to stand a chance).

Honestly tough, when I think about it, it might be a little over the top.To much icing on the cake so to speak.
