Thanked: 1903That depends on your approach.
Well, that should not happen, and hardly ever does when senior members refer beginners to the Wiki. As an aside, if "the Wiki" were called "the SRP Knowledgebase" (which it actually is), a lot of people would probably be more inclined to actually use it.
That said, common courtesy dictates the beginners familiarise themselves with a community first. That includes, but is not necessarily limited to, reading the FAQ, where the relevant entry is easily found. The beginners guide, which also contains both lists, is the most prominent link on the Wiki entry page. Nothing more we can do here, really.
There is more to straight razor shaving than picking a razor. We have compiled the beginners guide in a way that should help a beginner cover most, if not all, aspects of beginning with straight razor shaving. I personally believe that if you do not want to invest one hour into reading this guide (probably even less, as it really is not that big), you do not bring the required level of patience to the table, anyway.
As far as sticky posts are concerned, I feel that we have too many of those already. Needless to say that the shopping list one contains a link to the FAQ and the beginners guide.
Regards,
Robin
