Two clicks. Click on "Wiki". Click on "Beginner's guide". There it is. There are a ton of useful pages on the Database, and if there were all linked to from the front page it would be better to just make the SRP Database the homepage and the forum down another path. That wasn't really a dressing down, either. I mean, c'mon now. I am on some forums that would have given you hell for asking how to navigate to a wiki entry. More than likely with a large helping of profanity to boot. Any time that I see "Read the Wiki" offered up by a member, it is generally after at least an attempt at an answer to the OP's question, and usually has a section of the database linked. I love being a member of this forum for many reasons, one of which is the amount of help offered by the senior members. But if I can't find info in the beginner's section of the database, I have no business moving a sharp object across my face in the first place.

You're absolutely right! It was a knee jerk response by me and I apologize if I was off base.
I do think a lot of this forum and its members, not to mention all the great info and help I've received. I guess I was just expecting a "yes we can do that" or "no it's fine the way it is" answer.
I was a mentor on another forum for many years and I know what you're talking about with people getting very touchy.

It's really just one click: there's an FAQ link along the top navbar right next to the classifieds.

Well I'll say one thing y'all... I'll sure never forget where the lists are located.
That's what's great about these kinds of groups, everyone's generally got their own opinion but it all comes together in the end.

IMO, the trouble isn't that beginners wouldn't find the list. I think the problem is that some of our newbies seem to have completely missed the beginner guide for some reason or another.
I don't know if it is done already, but would it be possible that newly-registered persons would receive an PM welcoming them, giving few instructions and guiding them to the beginner guide to start their journey? PM because on logging to the site, the site notifies of the message and it is extremely easy to go read it and the following links. When I joined, all I got was a generic email.
