You know I was going to fix that the other day, but then I realized that my time would be better spend to hone 4 razors for guys who can't do it themselves and can't/won't pay for the service, and then make a few posts related to shaving instead.
And afterwards had to spend another hour arguing against everything that's wrong with SRP which ended with "If nobody cares to fix all these things screw you!!!"
That only left 15 minutes for a 92 proof beverage, and lo and behold it was a brand new day and time to start the same cycle over again.

If it's a scrolling issue and extra lines of text are cumbersome to scroll through, should I try to keep my posts to a single line? (next time, promise!)

What we have here is a failure to communicate
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Little one-line sigs don't bother me none, but I won't miss the constant references to politics, religion, or hot-button social issues. No need for all that in a shaving forum.
On a side note, I actually like it when vendors have an unobtrusive link at the bottom of their posts. Doesn't really junk up the threads, and it makes me aware of 'em when I wouldn't have gone looking. Charging a fee for such a thing would be a win-win.

I have an idea; it's intended to be constructive. Additionally, I know programming isn't easy. That's part of the reason I know almost nothing about programming. Please don't jump on me for asking things that may or may not be possible under the system we use.
Look at northpaw's last post. Look below the text. On my computer screen there's damn near TWO inches of blank white space. It's useless! My assumption is that the space lines up with the information directly under my picture. Can I get rid of this "under-the-picture" information? I don't really care how many times a person has been thanked, and I don't mean any offense to those that do.
I guess what I'm saying is why can't the actual size of the posting box be altered to better fit the text inside of it? It seems we are corralling one cow in an entire section of grass.
p.s. northpaw, sorry to single you out! Just using you as an example, no offense intended!Last edited by Jimbo7; 07-29-2011 at 03:02 PM.

It's exactly the reason you anticipated - programming isn't easy. Although this isn't strictly programming, making a proper theme is rather time consuming, and so far nobody has stepped up volunteering to do it.
The theme that we have currently is just a customization of the default theme that the software comes with, so it is very far from perfect, though it was an effective and relatively efficient way to upgrade our forum with just 7 hours of downtime instead of the weeks it took some other forums with bigger resources than us.
But yeah, if somebody is good at web design feel free to create a new theme for the forum and as long it's not really hideous I will install it for everybody.
