Yesterday(Monday), I got the order I placed with Rod on Friday!!

I ordered the Scots Pine Sheep and Margaritas in the Arctic shave soaps and bars of the Pig Trail and Ozark Mountain bath soaps. Rod also included 2 vary generous sample pucks of Coniferous and Tea Tree shave soaps! Thanks Rod!

I shaved with the Scots Pine this morning. Like the MITA I have been using, the Scots Pine whipped up a great slick and cushioning lather....even in my ROCK HARD water here is south Texas. The scent is nice and fresh but not overpowering. Very nice nick and burn free shave!

I used Stirling Tea Tree soap for the first time today (one of the samples Rod sent me). Another quick, easy, rich lathering Stirling soap. I like it.

After reading the good reviews here, I finally placed an order for two pucks (Franklin and Ozarks) and three bars of bath soap on Tuesday.
They were delivered on Wednesday, along with a sample size puck of Tea Tree and a full size fourth bar of bath soap.
The bath soap was good -- scent was something I wouldn't have bought myself Mint/Choco Chip) but the scent was subdued so not bad. The soap itself left me feeling cleaner than what I normally use.
On to the shave with the Franklin -- it lathered up almost immediately to a rich creamy lather. The glide was somewhat better than I was getting from my other soap, and helped my noob self get an exceptional shave. The scent did have a slight root beer back not, but the fore of it was a gentlemanly leather/wood scent (kind of like walking in to an old room) -- very nice.

Thanks to this company, I may be coming down with a case of SAD

I have been using the Scots Pine for a while now after finishing my first puck of Margaritas in the Arctic. I decided to try the Coniferous sample Rod sent me with my last order today. The scent is like a pine mountain forest, but not overwhelming. As expected, I got a great slick, smooth, cushioned lather and a great shave.

I guess it is time for an update.
I got to use the sample puck of Stirling Blu today that Rod included in my last order. It easily produced a great lather. I don't know what Polo Blue smells like, but the scent is nice.

So far I have tried the Margaritas in the Arctic, Scots Pine Sheep, Ozark Mountain, Tea Tree, Spice, and Glacial(beta version) over the past several months. I have gotten good lather and shaves from all of them. The Glacial beta version did not produce a lot of lather, but it shaved well....and oh the menthol blast!! Rod is getting a final version of Glacial ready to go with better lathering ability. The only one that I personally was not crazy about was the Tea Tree. I have a sample of Lavender & Sage yet to try and a full puck of the new Clubman . Rod's soaps just keep getting better and I think he has reached the plateau where the new generation will stand up well next to about anything out there. He also provides the best customer service you can get from any vendor!

I've got an order on the way of samples and some ASs. Been using Scots Pine in rotation for a while.

Had an issue with Polo years ago, my brother used the cologne like a splash and it was too strong, so don't know if I could order that one.

I was finally able to break out my puck of Clubman today. The scent is great. It is very close to Pinaud Clubman and preforms very well.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Soap: Stirling Clubman
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim (6)
Blade: Super-Max Blue Diamond Platinum (1)
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip
    Aftershave: Clubman

The Slim is back in action with a Super-Max Blue Diamond Platinum blade. I got the 5-pack of BDP’s in a trade. The Super-Max BDP did well for its first shave in the Slim: close, nick & burn free. The Stirling Clubman is a welcome addition to my soaps. I finished with Clubman AS. A great start to the work week.

Just received my order from stirling, and I have to say I'm impressed by the service, the performance and scents. I got their bay rum version, their Ben Franklin scent, their Bonaparte scent, and their beer scent. Good all around, and I'm glad I bought the tins to go with them. My favorite is actually the beer. It smells like a really fruity hefeweizen.

    RMarsh,

I like the new Bay Rum too. I also recently tried the new Clubman, Spice (for Old Spice), and Lavender Sage. All are excellent. I like the Tins, but also use the 1-cup Anchor bowls.
