Used the Stirling Spice this morning. Very reminiscent of the old version of Old Spice. Great lather too. Now, only 17 more samples to go.

I just finished a personal "Stirling Week" using a different Stirling soap each day. I used my Slim set on "6" and my Whipped Dog Silvertip brush.

It has been a fun and interesting week using a different Stirling soap each day with the same brush and razor. It seems that Rod and Stirling have truly gotten the latest formulations very uniform as far as ease of lathering and performance. They each provided a quick cushioning lather with excellent glide giving me 7 close, smooth, and nick free shaves.

At $4.75-$7.50 per large puck, Stirling is not only a great line of Artisan soaps, but is absolutely in the "Best Bang for the Buck Club".

I've now used Stirling 3 days in a row, and while I love the lather and the scents, does any one else find that it takes 2-3 times as much soap as most brands to produce enough lather for a 3 pass shave? I watched the how-to video where Rod recommends using it as a mug soap and building the lather right on the puck, but after trying that I ended up wasting a lot of it, in my opinion. Is it just me?

With the new formulation, they are just as easy to face lather. Just load your brush and go. I did that for 7 shaves in a row last week with the 7 different soaps. I also guess I really haven't worried about it because the cost is so low anyway.

Honestly, I feel the same way. I have so many soaps right now that in the 18 months I've been SR shaving I've only gone through one tub of truefitt and hill cream and have yet to finish off a single puck of soap, so I'm not worried either

I've gotten 6 shaves out of a Stirling sample now, and each one has been great. It looks like I still have at least half of the sample puck remaining as well.

I just finished a week of shaving with nothing but stirling. My initial impression of this soap has held up, with one exception- their "glacial" formula. This scent is billed as the coldest soap on the market and that's true, but it's also so full of menthol crystals that it ends up so sticky and sweet that it feels like smearing a melted peppermint all over your face. The rest of my pucks are outstanding though!

I agree. The original Glacial needed some work and was closed out. The new reformulated Glacial is curing now and should be available in March. I personally like the Margaritas in the Arctic for my "go to" menthol from Stirling.

I just ordered a puck of "cool" as a replacement for my glacial puck, if it's as good as the description it should make a nice substitute.

I might have to try this out, great prices. Has anybody tried the Napoleon scent or one of the aftershave scented ones? I'm curious about Old Spice or Clubman
