The negative data on parabens in the medical literature is weak at best - the media has overhyped these data. The truth is they've been in use for many decades and there is no conclusive evidence that they cause any ill effects. They've also been tested extensively in laboratory animal models before being cleared by the FDA. Big companies like J&J tend to spend a lot of time and money formulating a product and go to great lengths to ensure safety before bringing it to market. I often get the "but doc it's all natural" line as well and my response is "rattle snakes are all natural too." My point is that chemicals, whether natural or man made, can be safe or dangerous and the only way to prove their safety is through proper research and testing.

I don't want to argue but how can a chemical that's a gas at atmospheric pressure be "drying to the skin" - it's gone in the air before the product even makes it out of the nozzle?
I can dig up all sorts of bad things about "all natural" lanolin - does that mean I won't use a product with lanolin in it? Of course not - I don't have an allergy to it so why not use it.

Thanked: 1263Propane is a gas too once it reaches atmospheric pressure as well…put your hand in front of it and see what happens. I've had butane lighters that you have to refill and same thing. I, like you am not trying to argue here but I do agree with Ryan, they have to put something in the can to pressurize it. Now if it were a pump bottle, then I'd be more willing to try it.
As I said before, I've used the Aveeno lotions and they're great.
That's the joy of this site…new things coming up all the time and if people want to try it and it works for them then that's great, why not share with others

Thank for your professional opinion on a product that may otherwise have been overlooked. IMO great shaving began where the can of cream/gel ended- personally I'm not looking back! Like Ryan said there's too many high quality traditional products out there that will give you great results and the full shaving experience that most of us re so passionate about!!!!

Please excuse my ignorance, for I'm no Dr... However if you take a cream and put it in a container and pressurize said container with a propellant, won't the propellant infuse itself into the cream in time? I infuse oils and liquids all the time and I can't imagine how this would be any different, especially under pressure. Then again like I said, I'm no Dr.
