Thanked: 0I still want to start a poll but there is a limit in number of options. I think I'm going to need to list like 40 brands to cover all your suggestions.

Thanked: 284Tcheon Fung Sing. I have MdC which is stellar, but I also find myself using this one just as much. IMO it's really good bang for the buck.
I love living in the past...

Mitchell's Wool Fat would've been my suggestion. Good to see you went with it.

Excellent choices. MWF is a favorite of mine. Had I caught the thread sooner, I'd have mentioned Erasmic. It's a wonderful soap that lathers with ease.

Thanked: 0I have to admit that I have a bit of a bias against Proraso. A friend of mine gave me a tub of it and I was very put off by the scent, so I've been reluctant to try it.
Anyway, I've started the polls. There is a limited number of choices in each poll, so I split them up into four threads. Vote in all of them!
Part 1 — http://straightrazorpalace.com/soaps...-part-1-a.html
Part 2 — http://straightrazorpalace.com/soaps...-part-2-a.html
Part 3 — http://straightrazorpalace.com/soaps...-part-3-a.html
Part 4 — http://straightrazorpalace.com/soaps...-part-4-a.html
Make suggestions for missing favorites and I'll add them to a follow-up poll.

Thanked: 36To the OP,
Good selection. MWF and Martin de Candre are my all time favorite soaps. MdC is a little pricey, but worth it And a jar of it will last forever...

Thanked: 375Guess what showed up in the mail this afternoon? Fitjar Fjellheim shave soap and AS Balm with a sample of Slatteroy. Both scents are excellent although I think I like the Slatteroy a tad more. Haven't had the chance to try it, it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I've tried a bunch, and so far my 3 favorites are Pre de Provence, DR Harris Arlington and Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood...no particular order, although at the moment I've made DR Harris my everyday choice.
