Thanked: 0Tabac Soap
The first time I tried this soap I said man this soap works good. After I got done shaving I could still smell it on my face and I thought to my self this scent is about to gag me. I don't think I can use it again. Does anybody else have this problem? Would anybody want to trade me some other soap for it or buy it cheap? I just used it one time. Dam good soap I just wished it smelt different.

Thanked: 3225Luckily I don't have a problem with the scent. Post shave I use an alum block, rinse it off and put on an aftershave, never a problem. Just ordered a new supply in or I would take you up on your offer on that damn good soap.

Thanked: 1195Unfortunately it's a love-it-or-leave-it scent. I happen to love it, but realize that many don't. If you are in the "leave it" camp it's probably best to PIF it or sell it off in the Classifieds and be done with it.

I have a love-hate relationship with it. When I began the wet shaving journey I heard the hype and bought a bowl. I too gagged on the scent, and I thought it irritated my skin (in retrospect the irritation was more likely due to bad technique). I sold it on shortly thereafter.
Two years later I took the plunge again, and my bowl of tabac is now three years old...and the scent has calmed substantially. In fact, it on my rotation tomorrow morning.

Thanked: 20great soap, the smell is a little 70ish but not bad at all and fades pretty quickly. I shave before my shower so the scent does not last for me, but thats just me

To date I have used 10 soaps and creams, I haven't found one that I can say I dislike, only some that I like more than others. The Tabac cream is one of my favorites, as is Cella (kind of a creamed soap). It their soap and cream the same scent for those who have tried both?

I didn't care for the scent myself at first, but its grown on me. I felt the same about xpec, another love-it-or-hate-it scent.

Thanked: 375One of the best performing soaps I ever had, but I felt the same way, it smells good but a bit overpowering.
