Has anybody found this product in any department store or drug store (preferably in California) or have you all been ordering online?

I order most everything online. You'd think SF would have some wet shaving shops, but I've yet to find one.

Now, blue vs red? Tough call! Can I just say purple?

As much as I like the Blue, I'd have to give the nod to Green. The perfect amount of menthol cooling for me, they really nailed it.

I'll have to check out the two Italian stores here in Calgary and see if they have updated their inventory of Proraso.
Lately I've been enjoying the fresh menthol feel of the Proraso green tube and Arko Ice Mint.

Online from Amazon for me. At its price point, I'd doubt any retail place would use shelf space to carry it, given its likely low volume of sales. Most shavers use canned goo and don't know any better, except those who go to shaving retailers or independent drug stores in cities like NY and Chicago (and I'd figure SF). However, even they may choose to carry higher end products.

On line for me too. The only place that carries Proraso products locally, Shoppers Drug Mart, only has the Green and the White stuff.

A few of the hipster-style barber shops have the full Proraso and Musgo Real lines. For instance, J.P. Kempt on Divisadero has the full line (just picked up the blue after shave balm yesterday). Also check out Cable Car Clothiers downtown for some English wet shaving products like Trumpers, etc.
