Right you are about Martin de Candre, OCD. It is amazing that with only seven ingredients you can have such a celestial shave soap. The sign of a good soap, among other things we have discussed in these threads, is how it leaves the face after the shave. After using the soap this morning, I am ready for Hollywood.

As for Xpec, oh, yes, I agree with you completely. I have Xpec and consider it the best cream among those I have used through the years. I never got to try the now discontinued Caraceni, so I cannot comment on it, although I am told that, too, was celestial.

I have used Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet shave cream. I love the scent, although I prefer other creams.

If I were to list my three preferred creams, they would be Xpec, Santa Maria Novella and Castle Forbes. My three top soaps would be Martin de Candre, Czech & Speake and Le Pere Lucien.

Sorry for changing the subject, gentlemen.
