Tallow soaps ?
The artisan soaps like Mike's and Stirling are as good as anything out there in my experience. Don't forget the ever-present Martin De Candre... . I too prefer tallow soaps to anything else.

Thanked: 3225As good as MdC is I do not believe it is a tallow based soap from the ingredients list on my jar. Pretty good soap and pricey too.

Thanked: 1195Add Czech & Speake to the list of tallow soaps. I just checked the package to confirm.
I used it for the first time yesterday and it's great stuff. Pricey for sure but worth it.

Thanked: 40I have three types of Mystic Waters Soap (Tee/gum, Pumpkin Spice, and Lavender). These are quality soaps that have both tallow and glycerine. They are a little tough to lather, but once you have the lather down, it helps cut down on shave irritation quite well.
