    Default Maggard shaving soaps

So as of late I've had a change of heart about TOBS. Coincidently I got an e-mail from maggard razors about their new line of soaps. Price was right so I made the jump, blindly. Wasnt disappointed quite frankly it was one of the best shaves I've had in awhile. I purchased 2 of the 3 scents they offer, lime bergot and orange menthol. They both passed shave test and more importantly the wife smell test. Deff worth it and plan to stick with it. My 2c for the day.

Thanks for the heads-up. I had never heard of them before. Maybe one day .

I have the Limes & Bergamot on the way. I will be trying it out next week. They have a Michigan Artisan making them.

Maggards has good stuff. I use them for samples. Question on why you had the change of heart on TOBS? I have almost the full line an think they are fantastic.

I also have the Lime & Bergamot version of this soap. The scent is very nice, it's a fresh lime and not so candy-like. The soap's texture and performance are both very similar to the newer RazoRock soaps.

I just used the new Maggard Limes & Bergamot soap. It is soft “croap”. You get 5 oz. in an 8 oz. jar for $12.95. You can lather right from the large jar. After about 10-15 seconds of swirling with my oscar11 2-band finest brush, it produced a quick easy, thick lather with excellent glide and cushioning. I had more than enough lather for a 3-pass shave. I got a great smooth, close, and nick free shave. I really like this new soap. The scent is also one of the nicest that I have used so far. You get mostly the lime when you open the jar, but once you start swirling the brush the bergamot kicks in with some spiciness. This is a great scent combination. I am looking forward to the next shave.

Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Coconut Oil, Water, Lye, Glyercine, Essential Oils.

I initially had tobs sandalwood loved it but wife hated it(said it makes me smell like an old man) figured id try lavender. When I got it it was all boogered up. Melted leaking etc. Not tobs fault. But that left a bad taste in my mouth. But at any rate the lavender was way too strong and at least for me didn't provide the glide and cushion I got from sandle and it dyed my brush purple to boot. I haven't sworn them off but needed a change
