    Default Cella Crema Sapone

Anyone have any experience with Cella Crema Sapone Extra Extra Purissima? I see an online source has a 1000 gram block for about $27. Any good?

Cut off a manageable amount and put the remainder in the freezer. This works for me.

Shaved with it yesterday. It is a great soap.

Can it be melted to fit into a bowl?

A search of Cella using the "Advanced Search" button, above right,, produced "19" threads on the subject,, in title alone.

You don't have to melt it to form it into a bowl. Get it to room temperature, knead it with your hands and it should be pliable enough to form in the bowl. It is not a hard triple milled soap but more of a croap.

I did that search first, but it was not at all clear that they were talking about this particular shave soap. So, I asked.

Don't get me wrong, your advice is good. But I just don't know how many versions Cella has, so I include the whole name of this particular product to make sure I was getting info on the right product. It may be that's all they have, but I just wouldn't know. Thanks!

There's only 2 versions. The kilo block & the red tub. If there is a difference between them it's not major.
