Thanked: 2284Hey, I'm just trying g to get the word out about some of the newer ones that have had some success among the community. Most of the guys who have posted have tried both new and old soaps. Some of the new ones are great too, but no one's willing to hop on board with them. Those who are willing to, may appreciate this thread.

I am always buying new soaps/creams when I see a good review of them. Its one of those impulse things that make me want to try everything.

Thanked: 2284I've been searching Mikes natural soaps. I suppose it could fit into this thread but has been around for a while now. Seems to have excellent reviews.

I have been ordering Stirling Soap samples for awhile now. I think I am going to pull the trigger on 3 full pucks this week along with some AS to match. Great stuff, most tallow based.

If you like a thrill, try one of their "glacial" soaps...check out the Menthol Mondays thread here.

Thanked: 3225I have read some very good reviews of artisan soaps, particularly the ones mentioned in the last several posts. I have only tried 2 artisan soaps bought from crunchy granola type shops in malls and they were an utter disappointment relegated to the garbage can. I am very reluctant to take a chance on being bitten a 3rd time. Sorta like Spender and stick to the tried and true commercial soaps, for now anyway. This thread may just change my mind though.

Bob-
I haven't had the greatest luck with soaps until now. I had been exclusively a "cream" shaver until I tried the Stirling stuff. They sell sample pucks pretty damn cheap. Order the small tins to go with them and transfer the label from the wrapping to the tin. Great folks, Great product. The easy road is rarely rewarding.
