You mentioned life changing event. Many folks who buy a Rolex look at it that way.

No, I don't think so. The prices have gotten to a point where the average middle class or above middle class person is priced out. Most wealthy folks have looked upon one as a beater and as they climb in price they are looked at more seriously by that segment of the population.

Those that pay retail get screwed bigtime,as a long time NAWCC member (30 Yrs) I have bought and sold hundreds of Rolex watches.
The poor smuck that walks into Say Shreves and pays 15 grand for an 18K presy is stupid.
He brings it to one of our regeonal marts and trys to sell it,he is upset that he cannot get more than 6K cash for it even tho it is mint perfect, 2 mos. old, Box, papers hangtags.
Most dealers I know won't even touch them anymore as there is almost zero profit margin to be had.
Besides that, they may be a good watch, but for the money they are not a great watch,JMO

Lots of talk about Rolex watches here, and everyone seems to be ignoring the elephant in the room.

In all the years I have been enjoying MdC, I've never EVER heard anyone say that the regular scented MdC has no real smell. Are you sure you don't have the unscented version? Good heavens I have a half used brain bown sitting open in my shave bathroom, and the scent is still strong enough to travel out from the bathroom into my office.

I ordered the scented version and it is labeled on the bottom as the scented version but there is really very little scent to it. This is my first experience with it but my other soaps have much stronger scents. It would be difficult for me to even try to tell you what it smells like. The smell is so faint.

My French she not so good but on the bottom of my jar I read the line "Son Parfum est leger et frais" and take it to mean mine is scented with a light fresh scent. No mistaking that scent, Vetiver, for sure and not really on the light side either. Might it vary by batch?

Interesting, I have the lavender and it is strong scented and recently purchased the Fougere and it too is very strong, both very nice scents.

I noticed on their website they do make an unscented version and it is packaged differently in a white label with dark Blue writing. The lavender is packaged with a Tan label with Purple writing and the Fougere is lite mint Green label with dark Green writing.

    Perhaps you received unscented.

    Love the Fougere, btw…

I "smelled" the unscented a while back and their is no scent.

My regular and fougere have nice scents but I do not find them overpowering.

From the website: "Benson, Rosemary, lavender and mint." To me, it smells absolutely nothing like Vetiver. It smells like medicinal lavender ( if there were such a stink as that). And I'm not enamoured by the soap. I like the scent; I like the performance, but; I like other soaps more.
