    Now that is interesting. My glass jar has a tan label and what looks to be purple writing and does not smell like lavender but like vetiver/fougere. yes, very nice scent.

    Yes, you are right. I had a check on the website and I do not get lavender anywhere in it. Obviously I am not up on my scents. On the bright side I do enjoy the scent still. Medicinal might be a good way to describe it.

    I purchased the Fougere and that is what it says on the bottom of the jar but if I really concentrate I get a little licorice smell but I have to use my imagination and it is nothing like Mike's Vetiver which is the only vetiver I have tried. I wish the MDC smelled like the Mike's does. It's performance seems superior but I feel like there was some mistake at the factory.
