I think people get pain in the ass to lather confused with does not lather, most soaps lather how long it takes is another story

I have had my share of frustration with MWF. Not because I couldn't get it to lather, but because I watched too many Youtube videos on the issue. In the end it was lack of hydration that was the enemy. I started using a very wet brush and just watching the lather build until it looked right. As a face latherer I just add water to the brush until it just "feels right". I am now a firm believer in the qualities that MWF brings to the table. As another here posted earlier, "it ain't rocket science"!

It took me a short time to learn how to use MWF but at the end of the week it was certainly worth the time. Fantastic soap.

MWF is one of my favorites. Needs lots of water and keep whipping it. I love the way the brush blooms when full of good lather.

For me half the fun is experimenting with all the variables. Get a soap you think might like and learn it before try a different one. I read the forums to get insight and then do my own hands on. There is nothing like whipping up a batch and squeeze it, mash it, rub it to get a feel for what it really can do. If you don't like the results dump it and try another method. With any new soap I try several methods from a full brush soak to just wetting the tips too lots or little water before I even try to shave with it. Awhile back I started using a measuring spoon to get a feel for just how much water each soap needs. Now I'm getting a good eye for what is needed for good consistency without a measure.

Ahh, I see I sm not the only one here that will whip up a lather just to play around with all vaiavles and numbers to produce a a repeatable lather

I never cared for MWF. But if you find any soap a little difficult to lather, try getting it out of those silly little tins that they come to you in. Get a more substantial bowl like a cereal bowl or a large latte mug. Smash the puck into the bottom of that. The added surface space and room in the bowl allow you to leave a few tablespoons more of water on top as you whip up the lather. I find that all of my soaps perform much better this way. You can whip up a lather with a bath soap if you needed to. Instead of loading the brush and then adding water, I add water and whip it until it absorbs enough soap to be a rich lather.

Yup, more water. If you’re having trouble with MWF add more water and soak your puck in water over night.

Cup or face it will lather fine with more water.

If you're still having problems, the best solution is MDC.

This morning i finaly used MWF, i used the same method to bowl lather Williams mug exept instead of soaking the brush and the soap in hot tap water i used warm tap water. The result where amazing it was really easy to lather, it need a bit of effort just like williams(modern) but it really worth it. To my opinion MWF will become my favorite shaving soap, what i found great about it is the post shave my face feel amazing, it's like i just had a facial massage. I hope they want stop making that soap just great great stuff. Gino
