MdC is a fine soap. Arguably this is the overwhelming opinion of folks who've expressed theirs on the forums I frequent. I believe there are good soaps, bad soaps, very good soaps, and very bad soaps. MdC is a very good soap. Not saying it's the best, or even my favorite, but through repeated qualitative testing by wet shavers everywhere, having confirmed the data for ourselves, we must as reasonable persons conclude that it's darn fine shave soap
I don't know what the reasons could be behind the agenda of others who would deny this in spite of blatant and prolific testimony in support of it's merits.
So while we discuss various philosophical schools, allow me to propose a thought expressed by Aristotle;
A is A.
In spite of any argument to the contrary. No matter how convincingly an argument is presented that A is B, we know what we know, and argument to the contrary doesn't change the fact: A is A.
Another person will not convince me that what I know to be right and correct is not so, through only the sheer will of their argument to the contrary.
Someone telling me that MdC is not a fine shave soap does not change the fact that it is a fine shave soap.

Thanked: 3795Yup, even for me, MDC lasts a very long time. That should be factored into any calculation regarding its cost/value.

Superb point - not only is it a stellar soap, I've had a jar of the Fougere and Original Lavender scented not far off my join date as well - and both still have an awful long way to go. As another member posted earlier regarding loading instructions en francais, it says a few swirls will do, build the lather on your face, not the jar.
So excellent point, in terms of quantity, quality and longevity, it makes excellent economic sense, not that it had to do that in the first place.
Essentially, once you move off anything that will serve as lather to shave with, even a bar of soap, you're into personal preferences, both expense and taste wise.....

Do you know what a straw man is? You should.
How exactly do you reconcile that with Mainaman's order to state that everything said here is one's opinion? Because if you can prove that A is A, there is no need to YMMV anything.

Well done, Mike. Making things personal, and then trying to insult other members's intelligence is, for lack of a better word, classy. I think you actually wanted to link here instead.
Something tells me that that does not mean what you think it does. But that is all right, Mike. It is the gesture that counts.
