Just found a deal on Tabac that I posted in the soap thread. Never used it before and it is in the second tier. Hopefully it's a decent soap. Seems to get good reviews.

This is a cool thread as I haven't invested much time or money in soaps. Been using primarily VDH which is great for the price and I find it locally. L'Occitane was the first quality soap I received and it's awesome so been thinking about aquiring some good stuff and with all the quality stuff in the 2 tiers I should have plenty of great choices!

Thanks for the cool thread Obie! And my wallet may hate you!

Tabac is great. The scent can be too strong for some but I like it a lot.

For me the T3 soaps are really expensive as I end up not using them and regret buying them a lot longer than a soap I have paid more money for but really enjoy. A couple of non foaming creams I have purchased are really expensive as I don't see the point of them

I have the soap and the a/s. I need to use the soap a few more times to make a fair judgement. I like the scent, but yeah, it's just about a dead ringer for Acqua di Gio.

I agree that Obie's post should be made a stickie.

So much hype swirls around soaps and creams ... that is why I've got so much here to be used up. I read a gushing review, foolishly buy it, only to find it's hust so-so, or abject junk! As I read more and more about these new "wonder soaps," I keep referring back here to get the truth .. Invaluable to me.

Now, I remember one cream that performed beautifully, and would easily make second tier. The creams that came in a tube from "The Real Shaving Company" performed flawlessly for me. The scent a little "off beat," but nice. They also had a Professional formula that came in a tub. The cream was gold colored .. just great stuff!

BTW, how can I donate a couple packages of assorted used soaps on the site? Is it frowned upon?

    Druid,
Thank you for the kind words.

As for donating the soaps and creams on the forum, this should not be done in the open; rather, have those interested to get in touch with you through personal messages. That's the best way to handle your generous offer.

Again, all such giveaways are best handled through a personal message.

As for sending prizes to Bill, please send him a personal message and inquire about his interest.
