I did a CF pre-shave & shave cream today. One thing that's becoming important to me is how easily the pre-shaves and soaps/creams rinse off face and out of brush. one of my complaints with lower tier.
Great sport fine tuning the rotations.Shave the Lather...

Castle Forbes is an exceptional cream. Exceptional in every way. What I also like about the Castle Forbes pre-shave is how well it provides that extra layer of protection for the skin. I have used it for years and love it. I dislike pre-shave oils, since I feel they muck up everything. Castle Forbes pre-shave is also water soluble, and it does not muck the brushes and make things greasy. Castle Forbes is just good stuff.

The CF pre-shave doesn't seem to clash with other non-scented to heavy scented products either. I'll be getting a full size one soon.

When I use pre-shave - and I'd try so many of the brush gunking, lather destroying, greased hands that I was convinced I'd never use one again, and at Obie's suggestion, along came the CF, and it truly is sublime, actually does what a pre-shave is supposed to do, while leaving the brush, soap and your hands to do what they're supposed to do.
Next, you have to try the Esbjerg After Shave Oil, think of the difference between the CF pre-shave and all the others, that's like the Esbjerg, very soothing for the face, no more dry skin, keeps the skin very healthy, and goes on very nicely, dries fairly quickly, and doesn't leave your hands greased up.

Good one Phrank, that is exactly the next direction I had planned for next months RAD allowance. To match my soap Esbjerg – Aftershave & Pre-shave Gel Sentive.
I like doing whole product lines together as well as mix & match. Use a liquid AF and come back a little later an hit it with a cream. Asthma drugs leave my ultra sensitive skin parched so I like slathering my face with AF lotion & creams & oils but not a big fan of wearing scents.
For my ultra sensitive skin Meißner Tremonia Puristic Shaving & Body Butter for intensive care after shaving has helped so much. I'm still over angle and scrap in places and this stuff really helps the burn. It is kinda heavy but when my skin feels like burnt parchment I love it.
Love the 88 soap too.

Thanked: 1I don't see it on the list, but Henri et Victoria, out of Quebec, is another phenomenal soap. They're somewhat heavily scented, not a bad thing, but I could see them possibly causing some irritation for those with a little bit more sensistive skin. They do have some more lightly scented soaps (they're more of a croap), but the La Poire Francaise and Cognac and Cuban Cigars are on point. Great cushion, glide and all around good performer.

Hi Phrank,
I know you're a SOTD Brother, so I assume you read my last SOTD post.
I used the "88" for the first time yesterday. As far as I can tell, it is identical to Oxford & Cambridge except for the scent, which I happen to like very much! It's obviously a great performer, but there is something in that scent that I can't identify, that takes me back to my childhood... But, I can't place it!
In any case, I can understand that some folks say they cannot get on with the scent ... purely personal. Scents and the memory have strong psychological connections, so there may be something there going back to my youth, but I'm well taken with the aroma!
At this point in time, unlike many soaps here, when this puck is used up, there will be a refill on order!
