The last time I was this excited about shaving soap was when I tried Martin de Candre for the first time. Now hours after this morning's shave, my face feels nurtured and calm. It's a good feeling.
Thanks Obie, now I'm intrigued. MdC is my to go soap, never fails.
I will be on the lookout when Vida comes back from vaca and restocks her soaps. Hope to get a few scent samples from her.
    Cheers.

It's the middle of the afternoon and my face feels fantastic in all respects.

I will always love MDC, but for what this soap does for 2/3 less the price, now that's really exciting.

I have a suggestion for Vida.
Get some good rest on your three week vacation, then get ready to roll up your sleeves and buckle down.
I, and probably everyone else that has tried this soap, now has a list ready for immediate order.

Imagine wandering into a room and noticing an old Pipe sitting on a table...and lying beside it, an old, worn and torn leather pouch rolled up and lightly wound with a leather cord.

You take the pouch, unwind it, open it up and that smell of deep, rich tobacco wafts over you and engulfs your senses....

If you can imagine that, then that is what Wholly Kaw, "Merchant of Tobacco" smells like...with the Donkey Milk it provides a deep rich lather with a subtle soap scent barely discernible beneath that rich, robust earthy smell of perfectly aged tobacco. It is an incredibly deep and rich lather, and easily the nicest Tobacco scent I've ever used...a beautiful creation by Wholly Kaw and will be a favourite on any cold winter's night.

You described the scent much better than I could. I'll always have your description in my head when I lather this very nice donkey milk soap (as I do when I lather Windsor).

Ahh yes, the DR Harris Windsor, I like nothing better than the smell of Imperialism for my evening shave, and for us North American colonials, I'm sure the British think we're still not worthy.....

Finished up my 3rd shave with Cold River Soap Works Sandalwood. Not sure why it took me so long to try this soap, my previous experience was with their Olivia vegan soap. The CRSW Select is easily a Top Tier soap! By far the slickest soap I've tried to date. Takes no time to build a rich, creamy thick lather and takes a good amount of water before it even thinks about breaking down. The scent is a little mild but I'm good with that. I'm seriously impressed!

Obie, you got me so worked up to try Oleo, I was gonna buy three tubs last week. Alas, they are shut down, on vacation, until November 5th. Curses!

Yes, I really like these soaps, and yes, the shop is closed until November 5th. I think you'll be happy with the soaps.

I am finishing up the interview with owner Vida Perez Velasquez and expect to post it on SRP next week. She is quite a charming lady.
