Hirlau, that cake of soap looks like Ebeneezer Scrooge's door knocker when it turned into Jacob Marley's face. I gave you a thank you because tonight I'm going to bed laughing my butt off.

Hirlau. Now that the experiment is done, may I have that?
    It beckons to me!

I tossed that nasty thing in the garbage!

I still have the one that was a PIF,,, it is on display & at no risk of use.

I have a tin a friend gave me many, many years ago which was rare at the time. About a quarter of it remains.
Some Razorock limited edition stuff, think it had a number designation, forget.
Tale I got is you bought it in a big block and grated it into containers.
Still, stands unique. Nothing quite like it, better or worse. Neat stuff!

Here is a shave soap & mug combination that was very popular in its time. Many of the mugs wore the photos of vintage cars. Antique stores are full of the mugs , but soaps are harder to find. This set is NOS. The plastic wrapper on the soap was falling of & I put plastic wrap around it to preserve the unused soap.

Mine is excellent. It came wrapped in paper inside it's original wood bowl. It is a great soap, and I love to use it with my early 1800's razors, although the soap is not anywhere near that old.

+1 to that. Excellent shave soap but mine has lost most of it's scent.

Mine has never really had much scent. I just thought it was that kind of soap. Now I wonder what it smelled like when it was new.

Noxema used to make a shaving cream that was pink (I guess to differentiate it from the white kind) which I remember as being a luxury in about 1968. Does anyone remember that?
