    Cannot do that if shaving with running water.
    And the problem with light weight ceramic bowls is that they break in pieces when slip from the hand and fall down.
    That's why I prefer the Schwarzweisskeramik. Its keeps the lather warm, leaves the sink alone and it doesn't slip your hand easily because it is heavy and you need a steady grasp to move it. And even if it falls down, most likely it won't break because it is a really heavy duty scuttle.

    I use an SRD scuttle, but if I get it too hot my lather tends to break down.

    They do (probably)! I requested a custom one and paid extra for it. Totally glad I did. This thing is gorgeous. I do remember he had some trouble with it and was getting somewhat frustrated, so I think he still does custom orders, but I'm not positive.
