I had purchased the Jeff’s soap and love the feel during and after the shave. It gives a real soft feel to the face. Might have to try the glide

I hope that it lives up to all the hype.
I will post my thoughts after the first shave.

Bought two (Olfactory Hue and Madmans’ Bouquet) because this stuff is so wonderful. Best soap I have tried in along time, perhaps ever.

Thanked: 31I'd have to agree. I have almost all of Larry's previous formulations, and I've got to say that the Glide is a real advance. The texture is interesting: It's either the hardest cream or the softest soap I've used. About the only thing to be cautious of is that it's easy to overload the brush if you've got a heavy hand. It holds water beautifully.
This soap and some of the Grooming Dept's latest offerings are among the very, very best of artisan soaps I've ever used.Michael P

Thanked: 292I have never tried products from CRSW, but after seeing some strong recommendations, I decided to take the plunge into the cold river. Last night, I order the Glide olfactory hue and the Select bay rum. My wife will probably confiscate the package and not let me open it until Christmas. I hope both soaps live up to the hype.

I shaved today with Glide : Fragile Confusion
First, it doesn't take much loading onto the brush to have plenty.
It whipped up easily into a very rich, creamy, slick and dense lather.
The feel on your face is fantastic during the shave with plenty of cushion, glide and slickness.
The post shave feel is just as good.
The scent is a bit complicated to me. Think black pepper vs. sweeter barbershop. It does as it says in its description on the website. Fades away and then re-emerges. As I have found with any soap this rich, it has a little tendency to linger but not in an overpowering way. I would be very interested to get a whiff of the other two Glide offerings.
All in all this is an outstanding soap. I give it high marks in everything.
