I do use MDC 95% of the time Tom. But in my travel bag I keep proraso red and a LaToya stick. They travel well. And no your not in the corner for not having any, it’s an old time stuff that you don’t s e talked about much anymore. And besides a Jerry you use MDC so your still cool. If scent isn’t strong enough for you, buy some lavender essential oil and stick it in your scuttle and whip up some MDC original with it. Personally I like that to subtle, the strong ones I tend to stay away from. My wife buys very expensive cologne for me so why try to over power them with soap, the scent doesn’t last to long on soaps anyway. Tc

For certain, Proraso churns out good stuff. Good things, IMO.

The MdC Original lavender, Tom was the one that put me back on track on that one as my favourite....Fougere was my No.#1 with a bullet, then after a post from Tom, used the Original MdC...and yea, it's just sublime, just so nice to use - can't believe I'm almost OUT of my first two jars of MdC, the Foughere and the Original.....

After my shave last night with the Proraso White (and of course pouring rain today when I planned on taking my SOTD pic), a thought occurred to me.
If you took Proraso White, Green and Red, and gave some hip, cool sounding artisan name to them - they would be take off and be a smashing No.#1 all time hit....people would gush about the thick, easy lather, the wonderful scents, comment on after shave feel on the face....hilarious....lots to be said for the old guard, and of course, the "minimalist" school on this....BobH getting more traction by the day!

Gee, I feel like an outlier
Proraso Green was my favorite, but I've been out of it for a while so have been adding the white and red creams (from toothpaste like tubes) to my "worn out smell" soaps, like some artisan ones that claimed to be barbershop smells. I dream of the green, but on really exciting days I still go to MDC or Castle Forbes.
Tonight I will let be a surprise in SOTD, but I'm using a birthday gift soap that I've never used before with another favorite vintage razor.
"I'll post in SOTD before the end of the day, he says, building suspense."Just call me Harold

I pucked up my first tub of green, last winter. I find myself reaching for it frequently. Always get a great lather and comfortable shave with it, and just the right amount of menthol, for year round use.

Jerry, this one is right in my wheelhouse. I keep a cabinet full of essential oils, and have made many things with them: various aftershave recipes, mosquito repellents, etc. I like strongly-scented soaps, so when I have an excellent performer like, say MWF that has a very light scent (or really, none at all after a few years in a shave mug), I will sometimes add a few drops of something to jazz it up for a shave before working up a lather: maybe 2-3 drops apiece of vetiver and patchouli, or another favorite is maybe 3 drops of sweet orange oil and 3-4 of menthol for sort of an orange chill.
It can be fun to experiment, but a little goes a long way with these EO's-some can be irritating.
As to Phrank's OP, I love me some Proraso! I got 'em all in a sample set years ago, and still keep a full tube of the classic Proraso Green for an occasional summer treat-just love that classic menthol and eucalyptus scent.
