Thanked: 61I'm a huge fan of the Pre de Provence Shea Butter puck in a tin. The scent is somehow subtle and strong at the same time with a really great clean crispness to it. The stuff lasts forever and once you get it dialed in the lather it produces is awesome. In many ways it's very similar to the L'Occitane Cade in performance, if not smell.

I am with Rez on the Tabac. Smells like something caught fire a few weeks ago?
What about Cella?

Perfect!
Back to Arko. Lather-bomb for me after I learned how to do it with the stick. John (Leatherstockings) hooked me up. Stuff lasts forever!
So if a fella wanted a stick of Arko, LaToja, Palmolive, etc. ALL of the sticks with one ship and not pay too much, where would you go?
What would you do? I am all eyes!

Proraso, is a great no frills soap and easy to lather, cheap too. i used it many moons ago . but i have different tastes in my soaps today, and i treat myself to the best i like. but workhorse? Tabac, Mitchells Wool fat. i always have these 2 in my arsenal. Tc

I enjoy TOBS Avocado. The scent is great and the performance above average. I call it a workhorse as I have never tired of the scent. At $16 it isn't horrible considering how long it lasts.
I also enjoy Proraso but the menthol kick lends itself to summer use only.

Thanked: 556I like the Proraso Red in a tube. It has a reasonable scent , produces a nice lather and I can find it in my local Shoppers Drug Mart for not much money.

Another lover of Tabac here; its fragrance takes me back to my childhood memories of dad smoking his pipe tobacco.
My runner-up is MWF; fairly difficult to lather using hard water but worth the effort (a boar whip helps). Excellent post-shave feel.--Mark
