Where I live Amazon Prime membership is a must, so I'd get free shipping but the prices are a tad high.

I am down to my last couple ounces of Cella. Have given some away. It is the soap I keep loaded in my SWK scuttle soap holder. When the mood strikes about 1-2 times a week. I load it up and go. Have been using my Arianna and Evans varieties a good bit lately.
Keep the Cella wrapped up in the back of the fridge. Every once in a while the wife forgets what it is and takes it out to see. Then makes some smart comment about my soap collection being "too BIG". Is there such a thing as too much shave soap. I think not.

While getting into the swing of the winter archery season I decided to clean out my backpack/range bag.

What did I find in the bottom but a sample of Cella.

Wrapped in wax paper and inside a snack size ziplock bag. It has been there at least since last season. Obviously not recommended storage conditions.

It has discolored some and the smell is lighter.

My jar in the shave den is getting ready for a refill and I will have to see how it has affected it.

Williams Mug Shaving Soap for me. I love that refreshing smell, and after I realized I had to be a bit patient to whip up that lather, and combine with some mild shaving balms, it performs very well for me. Because it's cheap I also don't feel bad about experimenting a bit with it.

You are a much more patient fellow than I.

When I think of the term "workhorse", I picture a team of horses pulling a plow through an Amish farm field. They get the job done, but do not necessarily exhibit elegance or finesse in the process. These are not Throughbreds designed to be pampered.

I have used some, but not all, of the soaps mentioned. They fit my "workhorse" imagery. They get the job done, but do not necessarily have a lot of refinements. Many of the current artisans fit into the Thoroughbred category.

I'm getting very curious about the old formula that people talk about. On the other hand, I don't want to get hooked to something that is no longer in production
