I generally prefer cream, because it's faster.

I generally prefer soaps with a straight because it seems like I get better feedback from the edge. The creams provide more protection, but I don't feel like I get as close a shave with them. I still use creams on the weekends for a long luxurious shave.

If I absolutely had to choose one, it would be soaps. Although I use both in my rotation regularly.

I find that I can get better cushion from a cream, but more glide from the soaps. That is given my lather making skills.

my skills are weak even still, but I would say I like my soaps over the creams. Creams are great for when you don't want to work up the later and for traveling. Even though I like using them for a nice change as well.

I haven't made up my mind yet, but so far, working up lather from a cream in the Moss scuttle is really great. But I do the same thing with soaps, and it's great to have a selection on hand of Mama Bear, ProRaso, Kiss My Face, etc. That said, I mostly can't afford the expensive European creams that a lot of the members here like so much.

I use both, but generally soaps. I find that soap lather really gets into my face, while the cream lather tends to be a bit more stand-offish and not feel as connected to the skin.

Besides, with 3 Sues out there, I can get about a million different soap scents ...

Soaps. Creams are too expensive, and don't last as long. I love the scent selection, and longevity of soaps.

Personally, I have used Col Conk soaps, AOS cream, and Williams soap. Not a fan of williams, love the cream and Col conk soap. Soap seems a little more slickery than the cream, and cream seems a little more pillowy? pillowie? like a pillow (that works). Both are great.

I have a bar of Momma Bears coming (Sandlewood and Vanilla) and can't wait to try it out.

edit: I don't know why I quoted you. sorry
