Thanks RichZ.......I don't think ANY of our Fathers & Grandfathers were as interested in something as simple as a daily shave. They probably thought of it as "mindless drudgery".
My Dad was hatched in 1912, and is presently "pushing up dasies".......
Grandpa was old enough that I think he may have had to depend on the local barber for his daily shave..........

Yes I hear that, my dad is also pushing up dasies. I can't use old spice without thinking about him so I keep using it.
I am sure he would think I am crazy using a straight but I sure wish i could discuss it with him.

Something like thirty five years ago, I used Williams exclusively. It 'did the job.' But I found other products that will do it better, so Williams is a part of my past.
I also used Old Spice, for many years. But somewhere along the way, I got out of the habit of using After Shave. I haven't had a bottle of the stuff, since I bought the house I live in now. That was fourteen years ago. I remember Old Spice fondly. My Dad used it too, before his death.

RichZ, Dad looked at me a little askance for using a straight and soap and a mug. He used a DE and canned foam. You're 'Zackley right. I'd love to talk it over with him, now.Last edited by Brother Jeeter; 03-29-2008 at 06:13 PM.
