No, not at all, just seems ironic to send Swedish blades over to Sweden from Finland...

Thanked: 174I vote for tripple milled soap every time. If you have soft water in your area it makes no difference. But with hard water, I get a thicker richer lather out of a good soap. You just have to work it a bit. Working the creams just makes bubbles.
In addition, they look classy, last for ages and cost significantly less per shave than the admittedly luxurious creams.
Just a point of interest. Gillette don't have a factory in Sweden and I think the blades in question come from East Europe, Russia or Czechoslovakia perhaps. They are distributed from Sweden and other Western European Countries. It says it on the back of the packaging. Not that it matters, at least they are fantastic DE blades. I use them when I travel as I can not be bothered with carrying decent straight gear. I hate carrying the kitchen sink around the globe.

Thanked: 39No I don't think you can get Gillette Swedes in all of Sweden. In fact you can almost not get any of the good classic shaving supplies anywhere..only palmolive! Only in some limited number of stores can you find these things, but at really high prices.
But now that Finland has thing like that..maybe it's time for Sweden to recapture "the eastern part of the realm" No offence Stuggi

The triple milled stuff is great. I have a water softner which makes it even nicer. Vintage Blades brand trp milled soap is awesome. It's not that expensive as far as triple milled soaps go, it has a great fragrance, and crazy lather. You won't be disappointed....

Sorry pal, your army has gone down the drain in the last few decades when our army are about 3 times more prepared than it was during the last war, still wanna try? ^^ Plus that it's only 60 years since we last had a war, when was the last time Sweden went to war, 17th century or something?

Soaps vs. creams. I use both. But, I am also a newbie trying to get a nice smooth lather. I was using Williams soap and putting a couple drops of Head Slick. That can be found at most major drug stores. It is unscented and actually works quite well. Since my order of TGQ soaps and creams came in, I don't use it as much, but I will still mix a little in when I use the soaps to get an uberlather. It works even better with a quality soap.
Head Slick was made for guys that shave their heads. But, it lathers well in a bowl with my boar hair brush. When I get a handle figured out for my badger knot, I am hoping it does even better. Try Rite Aid or Walgreens in your area for it. It is in a yellow bottle that kinda looks like a water bottle off a bike. Big 8 ounce bottle for about $7 US. Give or take a buck.
I have seen Kiss My Face in other health food stores besides Whole Foods. I think it is more of a natural product so you will probably need to go to a health food store to find it.
