    Default One Soap, One Cream

OK, I sort of did this another way, in another area, but I'll give this a go as well....If you can only have One Shave Cream, and One Soap for ever.
What would you choose, and why...
P.S. I better not hear "TGQ"......

    Just kidding guys......

I'll start, For Soaps, probably the hardest for me to pick because I consider myself a Shave Cream guy.
Soap, I'd have to go with SRD's Rose Otto. Honest, Unbiased opinion. I just has everything that I'd want. Great lather, moisture, enough barrier, and an intoxicating aroma.

Cream, Easy, T&H 1805, It was hard to pick this, over CF, which usually is the clear winner hands down, but I never get tired of the fragrance in 1805.

Fragrance plays a big role for me.... I can't use something that doesn't smell good.
    Runner ups:

    Tabac and Castle Forbes...

Figaro cream (often classified as a soap, but says "crema" on the tub, so...)

    Tabac soap

I picked both as "best in class" for lather. Scent wasn't really a consideration.

FWIW, Tabac was my runner up in soaps. It's just everytime I use that Rose Otto, and I use it sparingly, it's a treat....

Easy, in my streamlined collection I only have one soap and one cream.

    Soap: Fitjar Fjellheim
    Cream: Proraso

I can easily survive on just these.

One review says more than 1000 words:

    1. http://straightrazorpalace.com/shavi...ing-cream.html
    2. http://straightrazorpalace.com/shavi...ving-soap.html

And yes, the Caraceni cream is that good.

Ogallala shaving soap I think has to take the prize here. It is very cheap, yet extremely good. And the Bayrum Sandalwood soap is to die for.
+1 on the Ogallala....I have not tried TGQ Shave Creams...
I'll have to put that on my to do list.....

That's a tough decision for a soap/cream junkie like myself:

Soap: A tie between Tabac and MWF

Cream: Another tie between Maca Root and all of CarrieM's creams

I alternate between Castle Forbes Lime cream and SRD Blood Orange soap. Those are pretty much my "pick one and stick with it" choices. I like MWF soap too, but don't care for the fragrance.
