    Default Musgo Real and MWF

I recently tried this combination, MWF and Musgo Real based on recommendations from Glen, and I have to say, It's awesome. It's like an Lanolin explosion...Leaves your face silky smooth...Loads of rich creamy lather...

Now, we need to get Glen to post some more Uber Recipes...

    Thank you Glen....

I purchased the Musgo Real cream based on that post by Glen. I have tried it so far with Institut Karite soap and Provence Sante soap.

Tomorrow will be the true test when I superlather it with the M.W.F.

Yep another guy who solely bought it because of Glens advice , and let me tell u (as im sure u guys already know) "lanolin overload" is out of this world, I love it ! leaves my skin super moisturized.

Also, i posted on my SOTD but another one of Glens recommendations is Tabac soap with Tabac Cream, try it and u wont regret it!

Okay, so I tried this combo this morning. Musgo + Mitchell's Wool Fat.

Initially, I was thinking to myself, this is good, but no better than MWF on its own. Glide was good, cushion was good but I wasn't overwhelmed. Maybe my expectations were too high.

    But wait......

When my shave was finished, I noticed that I had absolutely 0 irritation/burn. Now, some shaves are better than others and occasionally my face will feel a little bit raw. Today, however, I had absolutely no burn, irritation or discomfort after my shave.

As others have said, I felt like I did not even need an aftershave or moisturizer. Cold water splash and my skin was calm.

I am thinking that the protection and moisture is where this combo really shines.

    Update:

I have added a dab of Musgo to all of my lathers over the past week. I have combined it with MWF, Tabac, Provence Sante, Institut Karite, Cella and Mamabears.

On a couple of occasions, I actually used much more pressure than I should have trying to irritate my skin. I have determined that the Musgo cream basically eliminates razor-burn for me.

I am really loving this cream and see no reason not to add a dab of it to all my lathers. My face feels great post shave since using this cream. I plan on getting the aftershave as well.

    Default Lanolin OD

+1 on just about anything from Glen's keyboard or workshop.

Lanolin: Does it have to be saponified in a soap to have it's effect? or is it something that can be added - like Glen adds a few drops of glycerine?

'Would be nice to have some of the soapmakers weigh in - Carrie, Slice of Life.
