    Default Opinions of Queen Charlotte?

Anyone willing to share via this thread/PM their experiences with Queen Charlottle soaps?

I just received the 5 "Sample Pack" that I ordered, and will be trying out the first one tomorrow.

My samples were: Key Lime, Basilica, Sandalwood, Lavender, and Briar.

Thinking about giving the Key Lime the premier run.

    Thanks,
    Maxi

I got in on the free sample giveaway a few months back. I liked it so much I just ordered a 5 oz jar of the Sandalwood and 2 bars of soap.
I am partial to Sandalwood, haven't tried anything else yet.
I really like the lather the shave soap gives. It is a little firmer than what else I have tried, and a little goes along way.
    I liked it!

I love the scent of celestial woods.
Performance-wise, at least for me, it doesn't provide much glide. I have to either water it down or mix it with a slick soap to get it to perform the way I want it to.

there was another thread recently on this...however, I have key lime and briar and both perform very well. Be warned...it takes a LOT less water than my other creams. Not sure why but I had a real hard time with the lather until I squeezed and shook as much water out of my brush as I could and it seems to like it much better. If you order something from them I also recommend their soaps. I'm not much in to that but damn they smell awesome.

Good stuff. You can find one or two reviews in the review section of SRP.

It's sold as a soap, but is in fact a dense cream, akin to Castle Forbes. I like the Basilica, and Briar. I find with a large scuttle, it whips up to rich lather, no problems at all, and not lacking in any areas. You'll have to experiment a bit to get it the way you want it. I only use 1/2 an almond size dollop. Of course, like any other cream or soap, YMMV.

I'm not sure what we're not serious about. I also can't understand the message when it does not have any or proper punctuation.

    Regardless,

Thanks all for the contributions. I used the key lime this morning, and found it produced an excellent lather. I used an almond sized nub, but I think I'll be able to get away with much less product....the brush was completely loaded to overflowing with lather.

Excellent smells as well. Off to the Wiki to read the reviews.

    Tomorrow, Sandalwood.

I don't like the consistency - on the brush or on the face. It's sort of gooey and messy like pie cream. I thought it took a lot of product also. Scents are okay I guess, nothing more than subtle. Cushion wise - just not there with other better products. Yes, better than glycerin soaps, but meh.

I won't be ordering more. I see too many other better products. YMMV
