Thread: OUCH! SRD Lime!

I bought some CarrieM's unscented cream and scented it myself with lemon verbena essential oil. It stung me and Carrie suggested that I had put too much essential oil in. She asked me to mix up a batch of uberlather with it as see if it eliminated the stinging. It definitely did.

So I ordered a second jar of unscented and mixed the two together. The result smelled very nice and no longer stung.

So I would offer the same advice. Try mixing it strong in some ublerlather and see if it still stings. It might just be the intensity of the essential oil vs your skin tolerance.

At that point, maybe melt and mix 1:1 with some unscented. It will still have a great smell but not sting.
