All three of the Crabtree & Evelyn shaving soaps are less than $10: Nomad and Sandalwood are $9/puck and Sienna is $8/puck.

They are all great products. I've used Sienna for the past 4-5 years. Before that I used their almond oil unscented soap for years, which unfortunately they no longer make.

Proraxo/CO Bigelow are both great. If you like menthol, try Godrej Menthol Mist for an icy face freeze that puts Proraso to shame, and for a ridiculous price. Arko Commando is good, too.

Another vote for Proraso, one of the best cheap (as in under $10) out there IMO.

Two of my all-time favorites that are not mentioned thusfar are Omega and Speick. Omega is promoted as a soap, but is about halfway between a soap and a cream. Speick comes in a shave stick, but milled into a bowl -- the only way I use it -- is perhaps my favorite of all, about $5.

C & E soaps are for me a notch below, but can be had during one of their frequent sales for $5 or less. Superior scents, though.

True.. I forgot about Speick. I do love the cream, it's great stuff but I can't remember how much I paid for it. I guess it doesn't matter, I'm sure if it's over $10 it's not by much.

Proraso gets my vote...easy to lather up, nice tingly feeling, and you can get it almost anywhere!

IIRC Omega soaps and creams are made by Proraso.

I would have to vote the real shaving company soap as my number one soap to use...it comes at a very cheap price of $4.99 cdn at any shoppers drug mart in canada. They also carry the proraso for $8.99 which comes second on my list. For anyone out there looking for a crazy rich and creamy lather i recommend trying the real shaving company soap.....it will give you a lather like you have never seen, more than happy with a price under $5.00 too
