Just to throw this at you guys,
but to put it all into perspective in regards to the price difference of cella it's probably one of the best deals going seeing as it easily is in league with some of my best soaps!!!!!!!

    (warning math ahead)

A puck of trumpers, for instance, costs $18 for 80g at WCS (I live in a small town so have to import all my stuff in from various places)
That being said you can get a 1000g (SUPER BRICK!!!) from said site for $37.75

pound for pound (No pun intended), 1000g of trumpers will run you $225! That right there is a $187.25 diffrence there gentlemen! about the cost of a straight razor if your thinking of a long term investment theoretically. The Common multiplier is 12.5 but you obviously cant get .5 of a soap, however, to be generous, i went strictly pound for pound in the calculations. In reality its $234.

Note: I LOVE BOTH TRUMPER'S AND CELLA A LOT!

The piont of these ramblings is that TRY IT if you like it, you have shave soap that you wont need a second job to afford! To each his own,

    Food For Thought,

I have a few soaps and creams in rotation, some inexpensive, some not so much. Out of the lot, I must say that Cella is a very good performer, even more so when you factor in the price! The nice retro container is also great. I like the fact that it looks like they haven't changed the typeface since the 1930's!

For the ultimate Cella experience, I'm fond of using it with my Semogue boar brush. This really seems to bring out the best in terms of water/soap ratio and makes for a lather that feels great from start to finish.

    Oolong,
I noticed the typeface on the red tub has an "art deco" look to it also. I may have to pick up a brick of the stuff.

    Gentlemen:

I have had a tub of Cella in my stash and for some reason never used it. This conversation compels me to bring it out and give it a shave in the coming days. Thank you for the reminder.

    Regards,

+1 on the Cella/ Semouge Boar brush results. It took me half a shave with cella to fall in love. Now the only thing that's holding me back on getting the brick is worries of a being able to keep it (scent) preserved well enough. I love the subtle (to me) scent and had to hold back the temptation to taste it.

I've tried quite a few different soaps and creams. As of now I use Cella exclusively and have for a while. With the results I'm getting I see no good reason for changing. My Cella resides in a MWF ceramic container

Ah Cella, my #1!!! I rarely use anything else anymore, sometimes Valorbra or LaToja but that is pretty much it. After spending so much $$ and trying so much, it is nice to settle with something so cheap yet works so great! I just don't get tired of using it.

I really enjoy the soap as well. I don't think its as good as everyone is raving about, but its a good soap non the less.

I've been thinking or trying Cella, and this pushed me over the edge. My question is, how well does the soap store? After all, a 2.2 pound block will last quite a while. I was thinking a zip lock bag or plastic food container.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.
