    It mainly depends on your house temperature and how much they are exposed to oxygen.
    However, if you keep it in a cool place you will delay them to turn to yellow quite a lot. In my experience, and depending on the soap type and brand, it usually takes about 12 months before noticing an evident change in color and smell.
    You start realizing your tallow based soap is going to turn as soon as you can smell a rancid aroma. The same you can smell in lard or fats as time goes by.

    I just keep it in the red tub it came in & use it almost every day. Still smells great (had it for 4 months & about half gone--will definitely get more!) & the performance is amazing. For me, Cella is tied evenly w/ Castle Forbes for being the best lathering product I've ever used in my life.

    Just saw on eBay there was two red tubs
    Of cella for $22.50 shipped.

    Seems like a nice way for someone to
    Try this great soap.
